Synchronizing video and audio capture on linux:
One gives you an absolute timestamp in nanoseconds since some epoch.
Another gives you a duration counter in microseconds, with no epoch info at all, apart from <this is getting played X seconds into the future>.
Why can't everyone just give you the CLOCK_MONOTONIC time.
