For anyone wondering just how incredibly unpopular HEVC with interlacing is:
FFmpeg doesn't support it despite knowing for years.


It outputs half-height fields when the correct behavior is for the decoder to output weave deinterlaced frames.

Really, it's kind of MPEG's fault for not making their mind up early enough.
